Description :

Under the direction of the Digital & Interactive Services Manager (IT Manager I), the Digital Software Test Automation Developer is responsible for the analytical and technical software test activities necessary to manage the California State Lottery's (CSL) Public Web Site (PWS). Responsibilities include defining and maintaining standards, processes, procedures, requirements management, software testing and debugging using various programming tools and languages, and systematic debugging and testing methods for complex systems. The incumbent provides documented, well-thought recommendations on automated testing tools and technologies in support of digital and mobile testing, content management, user experience/interface, and accessibility guidelines to preserve the integrity of the Lottery's public-facing applications. The Digital Software Test Automation Developer consults with users, administrators, and developers to identify business and technical requirements and perform test activities, including test scenario and test case definition, test automation development and maintenance, test execution, test result tracking, and metrics. The duties for this position encompass the IT domains of Software Engineering & Business Technical Management domain(s); however, work may be assigned in other domains as needed.

Requirements :
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Working experience with testing web and mobile software applications.
  • Bachelor level degree or higher in Computer Science, Information technology with at least 1-3 years of work experience in a software development environment as a software automation developer.
  • Functional and integration testing experience.
  • Performance, load, and stress testing.
  • MS SQL Server and the writing of queries for storing, sorting, and retrieval of data.
  • Bug tracking tools such as MS Test Manager (MTM) and/or Development and Operations (DevOps).
  • Automated functional and non-functional test development using Java & Selenium.
  • Any testing certifications, such as International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB).
  • Detailed Working Experience With:
    • Java concepts and programming
    • Extensive debugging skills
    • Eclipse
    • Selenium
    • JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) / Extensible Markup Language (XML) data parsing
    • Windows - Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) file processing
    • Global Information Tracker (GIT) /SourceTree
    • Jenkins
